OVER-SUPPLIED MAORI RADICALS WANT APARTHEID

The Anzacs, Maori included, fought for egalitarianism

Aren't we all frustrated at signage in Te Reo which the vast majority of Kiwis do not understand? Especially in hospitals where you may be in extremis, and don't know where to go for the medical assistance you badly need? Or on street corners where a pause to interpret a foreign language could mean death? When everyone understands English, why try to show us the way in a language which to almost everyone is gibberish?

Maorification of New Zealand proceeds apace. But maybe the Marxist mainstream media who are now out of a job will realise their mistake in pushing Te Reo and Aotearoanism, in the interests of a revolution, on a nation that didn't want either, and will pull their heads in and their socks up.

Tomorrow we will honour Kiwis (including the Maori Battalion) and Aussies who fought and died for egalitarianism, endurance and mateship. With the loss of Christian belief in the God Who died for us all, in both New Zealand and in Australia (especially in Victoria), we're now threatened with the loss of those Anzac values also. Michael Bassett takes exception to the vaulting ambitions of academics and Maori radicals who want to hasten the process by - of all the ironies - apartheid.

Some readers have misunderstood the sentiments expressed above. Prioritising Te Reo over English, in a country where only a very small minority understand the language, is frustrating for people in a hurry and so may exacerbate racial tension, and it could be dangerous. Nowhere is it suggested that Te Reo should not be used, only that English, which everyone uses, should come first.

If you think there is a move afoot by the radical Maori fringe of New Zealand society to create a parallel system of government to the one that we elect at our triennial elections, you aren’t wrong.

Over the last few days we have seen calls from one or two Iwi for prior consultation with Maori before ministers submit suggestions to the fast-track consenting panel of experts who are to make recommendations back to government on how to proceed with projects caught up in the toils of our out-of-date Resource Management Act.

Various loud assertions about “partnership” and Treaty rights have been made to justify Maori having separate entitlements to everyone else.

In another breath, the same radicals who are grossly over-represented on the Waitangi Tribunal, are acting like a court and trying to summon Children’s Minister, Karen Chhour, to answer for government policy and legislative proposals regarding Oranga Tamariki.

The Waitangi Tribunal is NOT a court. It is what is known as a “quasi-judicial body” with only limited powers to summon people. Unlike our court system it has almost no power to bind governments with its findings. In the hands of the current chairperson, Caren Fox, and a cohort of Tribunal members, almost all of them radical Maori, there is a move to get rid of the word “quasi-judicial” and give a body which conspicuously lacks legal skills, the full powers of a court.

Caren Fox has 'whakapapa links' to Ngāti Porou and Rongowhakaata

On Saturday, with the help of the Herald’s usually reliable political reporter, Thomas Coughlan, the Prime Minister played into the Tribunal’s hands when he suggested that criticism of the Tribunal from two Maori ministers, David Seymour and Shane Jones, breached the Cabinet Manual. It stipulates that ministers should refrain from “criticising the judiciary”. The fact that the Tribunal is not a court was unknown, it seems, both to Coughlan and to Christopher Luxon. Caren Fox will be over the moon. She’s looking for work. Recently she was brooding about future projects likely to be undertaken by the Waitangi Tribunal, including drafting a new constitution. Can you imagine anything scarier than a constitution drawn up by that unrepresentative woke assemblage?

The Te Papa Tribunal exhibit defaced in broad daylight will be replaced -with what?

Behind the thrust for a parallel system of government is a completely fallacious interpretation of the Treaty of Waitangi. If you go to “Waitangi Tribunal” on your computer and scroll down, you will soon come to a claim that Maori did not cede sovereignty to the Queen in 1840, despite what reputable translations of the Maori version of the Treaty actually say.

Professor Sir Hugh Kawharu who was from Ngati Whatua, and head of Maori Studies at the University of Auckland, translated the Maori version of the Treaty with the words “The Chiefs of the Confederation give absolutely to the Queen of England for ever the complete government over their land.” That translation was accepted by the government in which I served, and was endorsed in the late 1980s by the Maori Queen and by Sir Paul Reeves, the two Maori patrons of the 1990 Commission which celebrated 150 years of living with the Treaty. It was accepted by the Waitangi Tribunal during my ten years as a member.

Ask for a flat white at Nelson Airport and this is what you get

But a tiny collection of Maori radicals in our modern universities and on today’s Waitangi Tribunal, despite Sir Hugh Kawharu’s erudite translation, refuse to concede that Maori ceded sovereignty to the Crown. And, having contrived confusion around what Article One of the Treaty really says, and claiming that sovereignty still rests with Maori, they are now pushing for a parallel system of government.

Their translation of the Treaty is nonsense that no respectable academic or government has ever accepted. But the media are always willing to report loud claims and are correspondingly too lazy to read anything substantial about the Treaty. I doubt there is a journalist around who remembers Sir Hugh Kawharu or who would know where to find his translation, let alone be bothered disputing any of the absurd arguments about a parallel constitutional system that the tiny number of radicals are trying to build on their foundation of sand.

Otago Uni rebranding banana republic logo wokey-tokery

It is probably impossible ever to eradicate phoney debate about the Treaty and what it says. But until all governments make it crystal clear that they accept that sovereignty was ceded to Queen Victoria; that the governments that have followed since 1840 were legitimate; and that the best interests of Maori are also served by Articles Two and Three which safeguard Maori land and treasures, and guarantee Maori equality with everyone else in New Zealand, then division and constitutional nonsense will continue to stalk our land.

One good way of lowering the temperature would be to abolish the Waitangi Tribunal. Set up in 1975, when there were very few Maori in Parliament, it was largely intended as a safeguard for their interests, and a guarantee of their voice. Today, Parliament contains a huge number of Maori, miles more than their 17% of the population warrants. They are in all parties and have seven seats designated specially for Maori. Together, they can be relied on to defend Maori interests.

Our traditional system of democracy has proven itself capable of looking after all New Zealand’s ethnicities. A decade ago after historical claims had ended, the then National Minister of Treaty Negotiations seriously considered abolishing the Waitangi Tribunal.

Today, at a time when we are being asked to rid ourselves of unnecessary expenditure, waving good bye to Caren Fox and her colleagues who are wasting scarce taxpayer funds would make a significant contribution to progress.https://thebfd.co.nz/2024/04/23/maori-push-for-parallel-govt-structures/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2SW_cP3uyxfkFNFMbu89lapqOkWRZvV8oM0p_T_9qlmivfK3whHuswVUY_aem_AWqLGI7DbuUqO4Twby8kNb1xI2mNngG-bsNjglvEUX37PdV4mpYBdKH_wQFmsP8PBZlHGYm25pJ-yPUPFVLmBkeg

CANDACE OWENS BECOMES A CATHOLIC

To comment please open your gmail account or use my email address, FB Messenger or X (Twitter).

Candace Owens with Fr Julian Large, Provost at Brompton Oratory, London

No one should be surprised that America's feisty, black and brave young Candace Owens has entered the Catholic Church, but everyone who's loyal to Christ our Sovereign King will rejoice.

And certain heresiarchs in Francis church, especially in the US, and especially the usurper pope Francis himself, be warned. Candace Owens comes across like a latter day Joan of Arc. She won't take insults to Our Lord lying down. In this day and age of lacklustre, limp-wristed bishops, fearless lay Catholics, soldiers for Christ, are exactly what is needed by the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

God is raising up heroic defenders of the Christ Whom Francis and his minions have uncrowned, to do the bishops' job for them. Those prelates have failed even to explain to the faithful what His Social Kingship means. Catholics have no idea now that, as Michael Matt of the Remnant says, "the rejection of Christ the King is responsible for rampant abortion, same-sex so-called "marriage," the mass castration of children, global apostasy, and ultimately the coming lockdowns of humanity.

 "Viva Cristo Rey!"

Popular American conservative pundit Candace Owens announced on social media Monday that she is now an official member of the Catholic Church.

“Recently, I made the decision to go home. There is of course so much more that went into this decision and that I plan to share in the future. But for now, praise be to God for His gentle, but relentless guiding of my heart toward Truth,” Owens wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand,” she continued, quoting Isaiah 41: 10, before adding, “I do not fear. Christ is King.”

The photos accompanying her announcement were taken inside the Brompton Oratory in London, England, with Provost Fr. Julian Large.

The Confederation of Oratories of Saint Philip Neri, whose members are often referred to simply as “Oratorians,” is a Catholic society of priests, brothers and religious. They are known colloquially for their traditional leanings and their emphasis on reverent liturgical practices.

Owens, a mother-of-three, is married to Catholic Englishman George Farmer, who LifeSiteNews’ John-Henry Westen interviewed in 2022 about the former’s conversion to the faith.

The announcement, which follows shortly after her ouster from The Daily Wire over public disagreements with the outlet’s staunch Zionist position regarding the state of Israel, was met with an immediate congratulatory response by Catholics online, including LifeSite’s John-Henry Westen.https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/breaking-candace-owens-announces-she-has-joined-the-catholic-church/?utm_source=featured-news&utm_campaign=usa&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR12arhJDzqiIlX-68J4BRKXxZVoul8WZRg0jpvGU5lmTk4a1TRKvvQTF6A_aem_AU4dzC2bmZzVIoWmQaNZnQp3LOSOaM0xjSDqUQy5Sb6LV3_EbfcsxNBY4vDK0UADKCzr-sKSX6yLvdSkZDBixV58

ST PATRICK'S TAUPO REVISITED WITH POTATO CRISPS

To comment please open your gmail account or use my email address, FB Messenger or X (Twitter).

No, that's not Communion: it's an ad for a potato crisp

UK Catholics are now being subjected to blasphemous ads for potato crisps, given by a 'priest' from a 'chalice' to 'nuns' who receive the crisp on the tongue. It's the latest insult to Christ the King Who is enthroned in faithful Catholic hearts - but almost certainly not the last insult and, we may fear, not the ultimate.

It's ironic is it not, that the more the Francis church opens up to the world, the more the world despises the Church. But the reality is that the indefectible, Mystical Spouse of Christ is immune to the jeers that the world just can't stop hurling at her - and only at her; never at Islam, or Judaism, or Hinduism. Because the insults are inspired by the father of lies, the devil himself, who doesn't bother his ugly head about other religions.

And it has to be said: the Francis church invites this ignominy by celebrating a Mass invented by Annibal Bugnini, who seriously and historically was claimed to be a Freemason, with the help of half a dozen Protestants, and by allowing the Body of Christ to be handed out like crisps or lollies by women in trousers, and taken in the hand, standing, with maybe a nod of recognition to Christ the King.

Paul VI with 6 Protestant theologians, part of the commission charged with writing the New Mass, invited by Paul VI to make sure nothing in the NO would shock their heresy. It's not surprising that the resulting Mass has the flavor of Protestantism, which means the taste of heresy.

In a large church like St Patrick's Tongariro (Taupō) which last Sunday was full and where the Sacrament of Penance is offered just once a week on a Saturday morning, the question also arises of the worthiness of the congregants to receive Communion. Were all those who received Holy Communion last Sunday in a state of grace?

Given the level of catechesis in Monsignor Trevor Murray's homily, would all those communicants have known what it means to be in a state of grace and that if they'd committed any serious sin they were adding to that the sin of sacrilege, and that if they died on the way home they'd have condemned themselves to hell for ever and ever?

It seems that Monsignor Murray was "very upset" by last Sunday's post on this blog, 'ST PATRICK'S TAUPO - SO LIKE CRANMER'S 'MASSE' ' https://juliadufresne.blogspot.com/2024/04/st-patricks-taupo-and-cranmers-masse.html

But souls and their salvation are more important than feelings and the frightful fact of the matter is that their eternal loss isn't likely just at St Patrick's but at any number of Novus Ordo parishes up and down New Zealand. St Patrick's looks very busy and works hard at 'community'; it's obviously signed on with a new initiative called 'Divine Renovation' whose 'mission' was headlined in NZ Catholic (March 16) as: "Parish renewal message relevant and urgent no matter how you practise your faith".

Ah - isn't it 'how you practise your faith' that's relevant and urgent? And haven't NZ Catholics seen this 'parish renewal' renewed umpteen times by now? Doesn't something just curl up and die within you when you hear it repeated every few years? NZ Catholics are in desperate need of the Traditional Latin Mass to teach us how to practise our faith by preaching the truths of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

A St Patrick's parishioner sprang to the defence of the 'outrageous criticisms' made on this page in ST PATRICK'S TAUPO - SO LIKE CRANMER'S 'MASSE'. Loyalty is a beautiful virtue but the crux of the matter is, to whom do we owe our loyalty if not to Christ our Sovereign King, who is so belittled and betrayed in the Novus Ordo Mass? Hence the reply made to our indignant parishioner which is published below.

St Patrick's Tongariro - an aircraft hangar church

From St Patrick's website:

BELONG

TO OUR PARISH FAMILY

“Most people today neither join, stay or leave a Church because of belief or doctrine… but because of a sense of belonging, because of community.”

- Divine Renovation Pg 139

We are intentional about:

Ensuring everyone is seen, known, heard and loved

The first intention of any parish family, especially of the parish priest's, must be that Almighty God is seen, known, heard and loved. 'Everyone' else comes second. That's the order God Himself laid out in His Ten Commandments. The First (surprise, surprise!) comes before the Second.

The Novus Ordo is man-centred rather than God-centred, and that's why it has failed so spectacularly in fulfilling the Great Commission: Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world (Mt 28, 18-20). Jesus is with His Church to the extent that she fulfills that Commission.

I was surprised to receive your email, but not surprised that you identify as “a loyal Parishioner of St Patrick’s Taupo”. I knew you were that.

I’m sorry Monsignor Hughes is upset but I can’t apologise for the blog post. It simply stated some aspects of the Novus Ordo Missae (‘New Mass’) in general and St Patrick’s in particular as being par for the course. (My own parish NO is much the same as St Patrick’s.)

It was created by Annibal Bugnini, seriously and historically claimed to be a Freemason, and a committee which included several Protestants. It is man-centred rather than God-centred. It turns the unbloody re-enactment of the Lord’s Sacrifice on Calvary into a meal which very closely resembles the Anglican Communion service, celebrated on a table instead of an altar, with the priest facing the people instead of the Lord.

I’ve been away from the Novus Ordo for many months now. My confessor told me to attend only the Traditional Latin Mass because the N O would be bad for my faith. I went last Sunday because, very sadly, the Latin Mass isn’t available in your area, and after the TLM I found the St Patrick’s experience very jarring.

Just the visuals, even. The Latin Mass has an accepted dress code. Women and girls wear skirts to below the knee and chapel veils or hats, covering their heads as Catholic women did for millennia as a sign of reverence for the Real Presence of Christ. Men and boys at the Latin Mass dress pretty formally: lots of collars and ties. Nearly all adults and many children use hand missals. And there are so many babies and toddlers!

At St Anthony’s Wanganui for example, there are three Sunday Masses, the 9 a m being a Sung High Mass, with choir and organ. The church is full for every one of those Masses. No one talks in church, not even toddlers. Of course a baby cries every now and then and is taken outside, usually by its Dad.

That’s another thing: the Latin Mass is very masculine. So many men and boys of all ages, and at the High Mass 8 to a dozen altar boys, some very young, and all doing precisely the right thing at the right time, throughout. The sermon is always 10 minutes at least of Catholic doctrine and Gospel teaching: real food for the soul.

I used to be a ‘Eucharistic Minister’ in my parish. I always felt out of place; I did it because it was thought more were needed, not because I wanted to. It wasn’t very long before I felt I had to resign (I also resigned as lector). I came to understand that women have no place in the sanctuary but more importantly, I discovered that the Church teaches no one may touch the Sacred Host but the priest whose hands are consecrated. The only ‘Eucharistic Minister’ is the priest.

If you read only NZ Catholic and Welcom you may not know that the title ‘usurper pope’ is widely applied to Francis. There are cogent arguments made for the illegal manner of his election to the papacy which given his MO and his ambiguities, obfuscations and downright heresies - such as declaring the death penalty to be wrong – go a long way towards explaining the devastation of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church during his pontificate. You know – the parishes amalgamated, churches closed, Mass attendance plummeting, planned giving ditto, vocations to the priesthood and religious life dwindling away to nothing; all greatly assisted ever since Vatican II by the Novus Ordo effect. “By their fruits you shall know them.”

Perhaps I shouldn’t have used the adjective “histrionic”. That's just Monsignor Murray’s personal style. Perhaps I should copy and paste for you a comment on that blog post, received yesterday. You can check it on the blog, but to save you time:

Monsignor Murray parish priest of Taupo has always been a law unto himself (as his parishioners will say) and his Masses are not representative of the majority of NO Masses in Hamilton which are very reverent, with many people kneeling for Holy Communion, women wearing veils and often parts of the Mass sung in Latin.

All parishes (but Taupo) the parishioners kneel from the Sanctus through to the great Amen, which was adopted by the Bishops Conference as the norm for the Catholic Church in New Zealand, although not adhered to in Palmerston North or in Taupo by a couple of renegades: Bishop Emeritus Cullinane and Mons Trevor Murray.

I’ve been praying for the Mons and will continue to include him daily in my Rosary for the cleansing of the Church - pope, cardinals, bishops, priests and laity.

With love

God bless you

Julia

NZ IS KILLING 45 UNBORN CHILDREN A DAY

To comment please open your gmail account or use my email address, FB Messenger or X (Twitter).

Since 2020, when Babykiller Supremo Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern smuggled her heinous Abortion Law Act through Parliament under cover of the mass hysteria she whipped up over Covid, the slaughter of innocent unborn children in New Zealand has increased by 25%.

We know that only because the intrepid Ken Orr of Right to Life (a Lay Carmelite, incidentally) used the Official Information Act (OIA). The shameful 'Manatū Hauora' (aka 'Ministry of Health' aka Ministry of Sick') no longer publish the statistics. Because they're so incriminating.

So now New Zealand is killing 45 CHILDREN A DAY. Last year 16,214  pre-born children were starved to death, poisoned, or violently dismembered in their mothers’ womb.

It's a new holocaust. Remember how, when the world discovered that 6 million Jews had been eliminated by the Nazis in World War II, the world said, "Never again"?https://www.timesofisrael.com/how-never-again-evolved-from-holocaust-commemoration-slogan-to-universal-call/rkoonukirthe first

The world lied. Now, when a young woman moves into a flat in Tawa, Wellington, she can find herself living with five other young women, not one of them a Kiwi. Because we're murdering our own children by the thousand and have to import aliens to replace them.

At Parliament the day NZ decided on its own Kiwi holocaust

According to Right to Life's OIA response, provisional figures show a 14% increase in abortions from 14,164 abortion procedures in 2022 to 16,214 last year (2023).

It is the highest number of abortions since 2011. Abortions have been falling and remaining at a low level until 2021 when they started trending upwards.

However, this is the sad reality which we predicted would happen when the law was changed.

Medical abortions are also on the increase – but according to the Abortion Services Aotearoa NZ report released last year and covering abortions up to the end of 2022, 221 women suffered complications including haemorrhaging, retained products, infections and even failed abortions (up from 161 the previous year – an almost 40% increase) and this risk was greater with medical abortions. 60% of complications were with medical abortions. For 57 medical abortions, they couldn’t even find the woman to follow up.

Our abortion law denies the humanity of the baby and creates inconsistency with other legislation and public health messaging for pregnant women which clearly recognises the rights of the unborn child. Anybody who has viewed the ultrasound of an unborn child will know that this law is a gross abuse of human rights.

We will continue to fight for the rights of the unborn child and the welfare of pregnant mothers.Abortions in New Zealand rapidly increasing – Family Life International NZ (fli.org.nz)

Ardern enjoys her baby; does she think of the thousands who will never enjoy theirs?

And now, a word from abortion's sponsor, Dame Jacinda Ardern, quoted by Lindsay Mitchell for the BFD:

This week I opened the paper to find some astonishing “news” – a lack of marriage is to blame for child poverty.

I’ve spent the better part of six years reading and researching child poverty, and what we need to do to resolve this complex problem in New Zealand

And yet here it was, the silver bullet we have all been looking for. Marriage. Getting hitched. Tying the knot. It turns out that we didn’t need an Expert Advisory Group on child poverty, or any OECD analysis for that matter – apparently all we really need is a pastor and a party.

She would have responded to Treasury’s evidence (that these children face material hardship and poor outcomes) by arguing, ‘Of course, that’s because they don’t have enough money.’

She had no sympathy for the counter arguments that growing up fatherless (72% of last year’s welfare babies had caregivers on the Sole Parent Support benefit) and in jobless households, is also harmful for children. Ardern was happy to risk more of both in order to claim a poverty reductionhttps://thebfd.co.nz/2024/04/19/babies-and-benefits-no-good-news/

A scene from the documentary “German Concentration Camps Factual Survey.”Credit...

On October 7 last year, Hamas attacked Israel from the Gaza Strip:
A pregnant woman was allegedly shot in the head. Her stomach was reported to have been cut open and her unborn baby stabbed.
The journalist asked the question: “Which happened first?”
I ask that you think about that question for a moment. Some may be shocked. It is difficult to imagine this being done by one human being to another, yet it has happened and does anyone really care about this?
Did anyone consider how terrifying this could be for the unborn child? Would anyone have cared about this child if this were simply a report of a mother having an abortion? Do we realise the humanity of the children or do we too easily forget those without a voice?

The Jews were labelled as “untermensch” by the Nazis, they were treated as less than human, as though they were somehow ‘sub-human’ – but do people still feel this way about some human beings today?

We are appalled at the protests in Sydney calling for Jews to be gassed, we recognise that we are all human beings, but do we really care about the unborn child? Do we really value them as fellow human beings? New Zealand law may not recognise the child as a human being unless he or she has fully emerged from the mother’s body.

To recognise this act of terror as the murder of two human beings would be to admit that abortion is also an act of terror on the unborn child.

While we think of the victims in Israel and also those in Gaza and elsewhere who have suffered because of the terrible things that have happened, let us not forget what is happening here in New Zealand. Let us not forget the children killed here as their deaths are celebrated with the chants of ‘My Body, My Choice’, how is it any different to those chants calling for the murder of Jews?

Pray for Israel, pray for the nations and pray that New Zealand would repent of this evil also.

I challenge Christopher Luxon to formally acknowledge this child as a human being. We will see what kind of man the people of New Zealand have voted for. https://thebfd.co.nz/2023/10/20/the-babies-we-must-acknowledge-their-humanity/

A BISHOP MAY DEPOSE A POPE - ST THOMAS AQUINAS

To comment please open your gmail account or use my email address, FB Messenger or X (Twitter).

There we all were, thinking it's up to the lay faithful to kick up a fuss over the usurper pope Francis and his heresies, and demand his resignation. And for all we know, it's a lay person who's been delving into St Thomas Aquinas and the Deposit of Faith, and has discovered that any bishop may depose an heretical superior, be he even a pope. Or a Cardinal Tucho Fernandez. Or a Bishop Emeritus Peter Cullinane.

The orthodox hierarchy seem frightened of their own shadows. Apart from the occasional outcry from Strickland (who was sacked for it) Vigano, Muller and Burke, they put up and shut up with Francis' demolition job on the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

So as a stiffener for episcopal spines, let's remind bishops and ourselves of this, for example: "And today Lutherans and Catholics, Protestants, all of us agree on the doctrine of justification. On this point, which is very important, he (Martin Luther) did not err."(Francis)https://novusordowatch.org/2016/06/chaos-frank-brings-down-the-house-armenia-interview/  If that's not enough, take a gander at this: https://novusordowatch.org/francis/

A reader of this blog, "Michael", comments:

This needs to be sent to our Bishops, so they can give consideration to whether this applies to Frances/Bergoglio and then take action. If you have read this far, send the "Open letter to a Courageous Bishop" to your Bishop so he can decide if he is courageous or lukewarm.

For a pope this is not a good look

Mailbag: St. Thomas on the authority afforded a bishop to expel even a superior

Over the transom just now (Barnhardt-speak for "this has arrived in the mail"- ed).

I did not write this. The author desires to remain anonymous. This proves that any individual bishop could depose an heretical superior, and therefore CERTAINLY an Antipope.

The highest ecclesiastical rank Antipope Jorge Bergoglio has ever achieved is Cardinal.  As I have been saying for years, this Antipapacy is incredibly easy to solve: all that has to be done is to call a press conference and SAY IT. As it turns out, the infiltrators such as Tucho Fernandez can also be very easily deposed, by ANY bishop, including auxiliary bishops and/or bishops “emeriti”. – AB

Let him be anathema

OPEN LETTER TO A COURAGOUS BISHOP

Your Excellency:

I’m writing to share an “obscure” teaching from the Deposit of Faith which affords a bishop the opportunity to expel a superior to himself from the Church. This provision comes from St Thomas Aquinas’s Commentary on Galatians. Since the Magisterium formally teaches that Thomas possesses the true understanding of the Faith, the implications of this “obscure” teaching are very significant because the Deposit of Faith is the highest authority on earth.

Even Vatican II reiterated the perennial teaching that the Magisterium is underneath (See CCC 86) and bound to Sacred Scriptures and Sacred Tradition, which will be referred to here as the Deposit of Faith. The CCC teaches that "the Magisterium draws ALL [emphasis added] that it proposes for belief [from the Deposit of Faith] as being divinely revealed. Since the Pope is part of the Magisterium, the Church teaches he too is underneath the Deposit of Faith.

The next logical question to ask is: does the Deposit of Faith afford the possibility for a bishop to expel a cleric superior to himself? This is a high bar to cross because one would have to establish that the correct Magisterial understanding of the Deposit of Faith supports such a thesis. Any lesser argument would fall short of this goal.

St Pius X begins Pascendi Dominici Gregis with the reason for his famous encyclical being to “… guard with the greatest vigilance the deposit of the faith [which was being attacked]…”. Toward the end of said encyclical, he reveals how one finds the correct understanding of the Faith. He then explicitly directs the Church to embrace the “Angelic Doctor” for the correct understanding of the Faith. Pius further writes that one “cannot set St Thomas aside … without grave detriment ”.

So, here we have a magisterial document, exhorting the Church to trust St Thomas Aquinas’s understanding of the Deposit of Faith. So, if Thomas explicitly taught, from the Deposit of Faith, that a single bishop has the power to expel anyone (if a certain condition is met), even a superior, then this would have the power to supersede the Magisterium.

Francis with his 'stang': an emblem used in satanic rituals

St Paul wrote, Though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema ”. St Thomas comments on this biblical passage:

“Now, a teaching passed on by a man can be changed and revoked by another man who knows better … Even a teaching handed down by one angel could be supplanted by that of a higher angel or by God. But a teaching that comes directly from God can be nullified neither by man nor angel…. Hence the Apostle says the dignity of the Gospel teaching which comes directly from God is so great that if a man or even an angel preach another gospel …he is anathema, i.e., must be rejected and expelled.

… “[W]e must solve the objections which arise on this point. The first is that, since an equal has no authority over his peers and much less over his superiors, it seems that the Apostle has no power to excommunicate the apostles, who are his peers, and less so, angels who are superior… Therefore the anathema is invalid.”

“The answer to this is that the Apostle passed this sentence not on his own authority, but on the authority of the Gospel teaching [Deposit of Faith], of which he was the minister, and the authority of which teaches that whoever says anything contrary to it must [emphasis added] be expelled and cast out. "The word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day [John 12:48].

St Thomas just stated that a bishop (whom he refers to as a minister) is given an authority, not from his office as Bishop but from the Deposit of Faith, to expel an equal or a superior if a different gospel is preached than what was handed down.

The "ever so 'umble" Pope is blessed by Anglican 'Archbishop' Justin Welby

In summary, the Deposit of Faith, which is above the Magisterium, empowers every bishop to guard the “Gospel” with the power to expel anyone, even a superior, if a different Gospel is being preached. This power to expel is not from the office of bishop which would be subjected to a superior, but rather from the highest authority of the Church on earth, the Deposit of Faith.

Since the Magisterium is the teaching authority which Our Lord empowered to authoritatively teach, the Magisterium would have to endorse St Thomas as being the guide to use in correctly understanding the faith for this thesis to be valid, which it does.

One might object by saying the Magisterium in canon law outlines how to deal with heretical bishops, which would supersede Thomas. This response is false at the core. Regardless of what canon law instructs, it incapable of changing a teaching from the Deposit. The Magisterium, which is the highest authority to interpret the Deposit of Faith, endorses Thomas in this regard. Think of it this way: you have two correct ways to address a heretic in the Church - one from the Deposit of Faith, and another from the Magisterium, with both being valid. Canon Law does not supersede the Deposit of Faith, nor can it nullify any part of it.

In conclusion, it appears that Thomas’s Bible commentary, which was translated into English as recently as 2012, offers a mechanism for any bishop to defend the Faith against any heretic, whoever that may be, “Per Auctoritatem Evangelii” (By the Authority of the Gospel) a power vested in him as a successor to the Apostles. If this premise holds, this obscure teaching might have been providentially provided by Our Lord to save Holy Mother Church from the general apostasy which was foretold would happen.

Respectfully yours in Christ
